GYCT 2026
Our Global Youth Climate Training, run with Oxford Net Zero and the Youth Negotiators Academy. The closing ceremony is on 10 November 2026, at the Youth House and online.
How GYCT started (2022–23)
Together with Alexis McGivern, the Net Zero Standards Manager at Oxford Net Zero, we co-designed a programme to prepare young people for the technical issues of the UNFCCC negotiations. In December 2022, we sent a survey to 180 young climate justice activists, asking which areas of the negotiations they most wanted training in. With their answers, consultation with Oxford experts and our team, we landed on 12 sessions plus a final session for a mock COP28.
