WE STARTED IN COP27 TO EMPOWER AND MOBILIZE YOUNG PEOPLE FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO TAKE ACTION ON CLIMATE CHANGE AND PEACE.
In partnership with young professionals and activists across the globe, we have gathered together to tackle the problems with well-planned actions. Our goal: to act. Over the years, not only have our members been making an impact, but also leading and guiding the differences made in their communities. The dream team! Each member has their own realities and gifts. Geeks, policy-makers, writers, scientists, chefs, DJs, musicians, doctors, lawyers—we are the resilient generation of the internet. Tech is our best friend and Earth is our source of energy.
Our vision is a generation of young people with the skills, networks and standing to build the blue-green economy, not just ask for it. GYC is an innovation-driven, youth-led coalition that turns ambition into capability. Through training in green jobs, governance and nature-based solutions, hackathons, entrepreneurship and planetary wellness, we prepare young people to design solutions, lead ventures and take their place wherever decisions are made.
We were the ocean previously, now we are the sky, then we will be the roots, and then we will become fire. Fire after Sky is influence.
The mission of the Global Youth Coalition is to build capacities, create networks, and foster collaboration. We aim to create a powerful youth-led movement that can advocate for ambitious climate policies, secure climate finance for projects and solutions, and take active participation at the tables where decisions are made, as well as in the businesses that are fueling the change we see in our vision, while ensuring the safety and well-being of our youth members.
GYC & CIF We are happy to announce that The Global Youth Coalition (GYC) is OFFICIALLY an accredited Civil Society Observer to the Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Trust Funds Committee! Out of 250+ NGOs, we've been selected to join the 2025-2027 cohort – a HUGE win for youth voices in global climate finance! 🎉
Every programme ends in a deliverable: a delegation, a published brief, a bursary paid, a report translated.
65% of GYCT participants come from the regions most affected by climate change, and 21% are Indigenous.
We build with partners like Oxford Net Zero, the Youth Negotiators Academy and UON.Earth.
Hackathons, AI tools and real-world games: we build what doesn't exist yet.
Safeguarding comes first, backed by our Legal Affairs and Human Rights board.
Authority sits with roles, not personalities: a Chair, a Champs Council and clear decision rules, reviewed every 90 days.

A dedicated AI infrastructure space built as an independent platform to support youth-led tools, climate training, foresight research, and future-facing public-interest systems.
GYC AI Labs creates the shared environment young people need to test autonomous systems, build applications, access compute, and turn research into practical climate and governance impact.
Analyzing climate and global data to predict emerging challenges and support future-ready decisions.
Building intelligent systems and autonomous workflows that help youth teams move from ideas to deployable tools.
Connecting mentorship, practical education, and scalable AI infrastructure so young builders can work on real problems.
A brief introduction to the Global Youth Coalition's foresight research on intergenerational equity (IE), fairness (IGG), and justice (IJ) while the full team gallery is still being assembled.
This collaborative youth-led project explores how young people around the world define and perceive intergenerational equity (IE), fairness (IGG), and justice (IJ). The goal is to co-create future-oriented, youth-informed metrics that help researchers, institutions, and policymakers embed long-term thinking into policy and practice.
Collecting youth perspectives on what intergenerational equity should mean in practice.
Using futures methods to identify signals, uncertainties, and scenarios shaping tomorrow.
Building youth-responsive indicators that can guide policy, research, and accountability.
A dedicated section for the coalition's legal affairs and human rights work, designed to sit alongside the champs area while giving this team its own clear focus and entry point.
